Mahindra & Mahindra with their engineering prowess has proved the benefits and unexplored potentials of biogas utilization by installing the Mahindra World City bio-CNG plant with purification system to produce bio-CNG gas which is equal to CNG gas. The bio-CNG generated has been utilized in gas driven vehicles such has Mahindra Tourister bus and Jeeto vehicles for free shuttle service and garbage collection inside the city. The gas driven tractors developed also utilized for cultivation and waste collection. Customization has been done to cater to multiple bio-waste sources available in and around the city area. Gravitational flow design results in reduction Electrical, Electronics and Power consumption of the plant. In line with Chennai, commissioned 50 Tons/day capacity plant at Malur, near Bangalore and Indore Smart City Development Limited 20 Tons/day plant at Choithram Mandi, Indore, MP. The multi-feedstock capable biogas digester can produce around 5000 m³ /day and 2000 m³ /day respectively. Following are the direct benefits to society.
